Get to know Julia

Julia Firestone (she/her) is an ICF-certified transformational leadership coach and consultant with a focus on providing leadership development to new and emerging changemakers and growing social impact effectiveness in purpose-driven organizations. She is the founder of The League of Impact Leaders, a membership-based leadership development program.

Previously, Julia led Innovation Capacity Building at Pearson where she trained more than 400 colleagues around the world to use innovation methodologies like Design Thinking and Rapid Prototyping to serve learners, educators, and families more effectively. She also developed and led Pearson’s Tiger Team program delivering rapid innovation sprints to build and test new products and services. Before that, Julia managed Social Impact Partnerships for the Project Literacy campaign, building a community of more than 100 cross-sector organizations to combat illiteracy as part of a larger movement. Her background is in global education and literacy, supporting teachers, students, and communities around the world.

Julia earned her MA from Columbia University, her BA from Hampshire College, and her coaching certification from Leadership That Works.

Julia is happiest when her work combines social impact, innovation, and culture change; when making magical connections between sparkly people who will help each other thrive; and when totally offline hiking around the world!
